From museums to parks to monuments, London has something for everyone. 1. Big Ben Big Ben, located at the south end of the Houses of Parliament, is the largest bell in the world. It is named after Benjamin Hall, who commissioned it to be made in 1858. The bell was completed in 1860 and weighs 14 tons. The bell can be heard from all over London, but is especially loud during parliamentary sessions when the bells ring every 15 minutes.
