When people ask me what I do most of the time, I just answer "Internet marketing" Because I can't think of anything else.

I'm not saying this is your career or your life, but it has been for me. I'm not saying I'm any good at it but I've found a few items that I like and am making money with. When I go online and read articles about the latest methods of gaining customers or clients, I can just see myself using those same methods. And when I'm reading or watching a video on how to do something else online, I can just see myself doing that same thing.

I'm not claiming to have found the "perfect" system, technique or strategy, but I do know that if I go back and take another look at the old techniques that have worked for me, I can almost always make money from those.

But even though I've been making money with those techniques for some time, I always wonder why I haven't done more with them. I guess I just feel that I've done enough. I've made a solid income, have been through the phases and have done what I have to do. I've worked my tail off and am finally ready to take a step forward and focus on the next step. That step may not always be about Internet marketing, but it will be online. Maybe I'll work for a non-profit or a non-religious organization, maybe I'll build a non-profit or non-religious website and maybe I'll use that site as a tool or to sell my products. That's just a wild hypothetical though.

Now that you know what my next step might be, don't take for granted the income you've made or the things you've done. Don't forget the other steps that you've taken to get to where you are, and don't forget to always measure your success against your own personal standard.

To the unknown Internet marketer, my advice is that you should not quit! The Internet is a great place and a powerful force, but it can be not only difficult but intimidating and sometimes a tough road.

Don't give up your dreams, don't give up your reasons for being or staying online. There's an abundance of opportunity online, but you have to know how to seize it.

You have to know how to take charge of your online career.

Know your customers, know their wants, needs, ambitions, and the reason they are surfing the net. You have to know your visitors, know their needs, etc.

You have to know how to take your website to the next level, whether it's search engine optimization, changing the page layout, changing the content, or some other major change.

You have to know how to build an email list, how to build a professional social network, how to build a list of people who are interested in your products or services. You have to know how to make your site easy to navigate, and how to get visitors to the site.

You have to know how to build an autoresponder list of people who are eager and ready to receive your messages. You have to know the tricks of the trade in autoresponder messages.

You have to know how to build a list of bloggers or other such individuals who are eager and ready to receive your messages.

You have to know how to drive traffic to your site, whether it's through pay per click or social marketing or whatever. You have to know how to use PPC and other methods to improve your traffic.

You have to know how to deal with your customers (whether it's through a blog or a forum or whatever).

You have to know how to create a system, whether it's in the way of the way you contact your customers, in the way of the way you communicate with your customers, in the way of the way you keep your customers happy and motivated, etc.

You have to know how to create trust with your customers, whether it's through a forum or a blog. You have to know how to deal with your customers, whether it's through the way you contact them, the way you communicate with them, the way you build a list of customers, etc.

All of these items, and many more are critical to creating success as an online marketer. I have been in the online marketing business for over a year now and have found that there are only three ways to make money online. The best way to make money online is either through selling products or selling information products. The second best way to make money online is either selling stuff which is already built or getting a job.
